An example mod to showcase infections. In this mod Chryssalids and Tentaculats don't kill soldiers directly but infect them with parasites instead. When soldiers are finally killed by attacks or the infection, they will finally turn into zombies.

REQUIRES AT LEAST Extended-7.0-ea2092bc5-2021-03-22.
Get your latest OXCE build by following this link and look for the bleeding edge OXCE nightly builds.

Features:
- Chryssalids and Tentaculats infect soldiers
- Infected soldiers turn to zombies whether by the infection itself or by any other damage
- Infected soldiers are indicated with a green color as visible feedback
- Medi-Kit can cure infections (previous painkiller position)
- Cure charges are dependent on research. The more research is done on Chryssalids and Tentaculats the more charges a Medi-Kit gets
- Infected surviving soldiers will be wracked by the parasite. This means that they will lose stats when finishing a mission still infected.
- Depending on research the stats loss will be reduced to 0.

Installation:
- Put the hcat_xcom1 and hcat_xcom2 folders in your mods folder
- Activate the mod for UFO/TFTD

Will this mod work with the Final Mod Pack? or even The World of (Terrifying) Silence? Thanks for your time. :)

Hi, thanks for having a look at it. This mod is more directed towards the modders such as the creators of FMP and TWOTS. When they feel like integrating this experimental mod into theirs, then it would work perfectly. You can try to load it additional to other mods but there will be no guarantee that it's going to work.
Of course you can create your own sub mod for bigger mod packs which is designed with hatching Chryssalids and Tentaculats in mind.
