The Energy Rifle is a minor weapon mod which adds the rifle into the game. It is available after researching the Heavy Laser and is primarily a non-lethal weapon to assist in (and outright complete) capturing enemies, and decreasing their Morale, Time Units and Energy, as well as stunning them.


This is my first mod, and any and all feedback is heavily appreciated.

Many thanks to Efrenespartano for helping me along the way and for producing the sprites.

It installs like most other mods; just drop the extracted file into your OpenXcom /mods folder.

OpenXcom Extended is required for this mod.

Not only this is cool rifle, but also perfect example to start manufacturing your own weapons. I means it has everything: custom sprites, custom sound, custom research and even custom non-lethal effect. Perfect for learning!
