Several mods add custom armor with their own crew icons in the craft equipment screen but I didn't see one that does that for the base games.

So I made this. I mainly did it as an exercise to learn about OpenXcom modding and because I missed it in vanilla playthroughs. It's not really necessary in any way but someone may like it.

Out of convenience it works with both UFO and TFTD. OXCE is needed for it to work though. Only tested it in v5.3 as it's the version I use right now but should work with at least 5.2 as this version already used the rule in the ruleset.

I get the following errors

OpenXcom Version: Extended 6.7.2 (v2020-10-24)
Error processing 'STR_MAGNETIC_ION_ARMOR_UC' in armors: Missing battle corpse item(s).
Error processing 'STR_PLASTIC_AQUA_ARMOR_UC' in armors: Missing battle corpse item(s).

However i was able to easily fix it i just duplicated the folder and appended TFD ad UFO to the end of the name respectively
edited the metadata and changed the one in UFO from * to xcom1 and the one in TFD to xcom2

then edited the armours.rul and removed the TFD Armours from UFO and the UFO Armours from TFD

OpenXcom 6.6.1 seems to break the mod unfortunately. On Enemy Unknown I get:
Error processing 'STR_ION_ARMOR_UC' in armors: Missing battle corpse item(s).
Error processing 'STR_MAGNETIC_ION_ARMOR_UC' in armors: Missing battle corpse item(s).
Error processing 'STR_PLASTIC_AQUA_ARMOR_UC' in armors: Missing battle corpse item(s).
and TFTD gives a similar message but for POWER_ARMOR instead.
